Ancient traditions, modern technology, and the most spoken language in the world.
A culture and language trip to China will expose students to the language in a way that they cannot get in the classroom, help them improve their pronunciation and confidence, and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone.
Present information and learning concepts in a way that is meaningful to your students with visits to Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an. Although Mandarin Chinese is a difficult language to learn, the opportunity to immerse in Chinese history and experience local culture in China will give your students the chance to appreciate why learning this complex language will benefit their future.
Be amazed at the culture, history and the infrastructure of the country - and of course, the food. Walk the Great Wall of China, visit the silk market in Beijing, experience Shanghai’s nightlife with a night cruise along the Bung, the famous waterfront and symbol of Shanghai. See students appreciate China’s history and culture and watch as they develop their Chinese Mandarin.

Shanghai is the second most populous city in the world. As a major city and hub for international trade and finance, Shanghai has substantial economic importance. Renowned for its museums, historic buildings and sights such as the Shanghai Tower, the beautiful Yu Garden and the enchanting Huangpu river, this expanding city is an exciting and unique place for students to visit on a school language and culture trip to China.
With so much on offer, you could easily spend weeks immersed in Beijing. However, some must-do's for school groups on a tighter timeframe include a rickshaw tour through the enchanting Hutong, a Tai Chi experience at The Temple of Heaven, and visits to both the Forbidden City and Summer Temple. Both an imperial gem and a modern wonder, Beijing is the perfect destination to complement any school trip.
Pronounced 'see-an', Xi'an was once the terminus of the Silk Road and home to many emperors, courtesans, poets, monks, merchants and warriors. The glory days of Xi'an may have ended in the early 10th century, but a considerable amount of Xi'an's Ming-era ancient city has survived. A trip to Xi'an is not complete without a visit to the Army of Terracotta Warriors. One of the most famous archaeological finds in the world, it is home to a collection of thousands of life-size warriors constructed in 246–221 BC
