Japan is known worldwide for its consistent snowfall averaging 9 metres of snow each year! With high-speed resort infrastructure and amazing on-mountain facilities, Japan provides the ultimate skiing experience for school groups.
From beginner to advanced skiers a Japan ski experience in Hakuba will cater to all levels with daily lessons. All ski trip packages include flights, accommodation, lift tickets, and lessons. You school ski trip to Japan is fully customised and you can choose how many days you spend at the resort skiing.
Hakuba is located in the Japanese Alps and is made up of 10 resorts. The deep powder snow and panoramic views make for an incredible ski Japan experience. There are also fascinating cultural activities such as sushi-making classes and a trip to the Jigokudani monkey park to see Japanese (macaque) Snow Monkeys. Experience both sides of Japan the ultramodern and tradition as you take students on a ride on the bullet train to see the geishas of Osaka.
DAY 1: TRAVEL TO TOKYO
Fly to Tokyo where you will then transfer to your accommodation by coach.
DAY 2: TOKYO SIGHTSEEING
Spend the day exploring Tokyo and visiting attractions.
DAY 3: TRANSFER TO HAKUBA
This morning you will board your private coach for your transfer from Tokyo to Hakuba. The total journey time will take approximately 5 hours.
DAY 4: SKI DAY
Enjoy five days skiing in Hakuba! The group will have two-hour lessons each morning with free time for exploring the runs in the afternoon (full day lessons available).
This evening, experience Taiko Drumming Dinner and Show.
DAY 5: SKI DAY
The group will have two-hour lessons each morning with free time for exploring the runs in the afternoon (full day lessons available).
DAY 6: SKI DAYS
The group will have two-hour lessons each morning with free time for exploring the runs in the afternoon (full day lessons available).
After a day of skiing, head out with your guide to Matsumoto Castle. Located in the city of Matsumoto, in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
DAY 7: SKI DAY
The group will have two-hour lessons each morning with free time for exploring the runs in the afternoon (full day lessons available).
DAY 8: SKI DAY
The group will have two-hour lessons each morning with free time for exploring the runs in the afternoon (full day lessons available).
This afternoon after a day of skiing, enjoy some fun time at Hakuba Bounce.
DAY 9: JIGOKUNDANI MONKEY PARK
Transfer from Hakuba to Tokyo by coach this morning, stopping off just outside Hakuba at the Jigokudani Monkey Park to witness the Japanese snow monkeys at play. Then, after a visit to the Zenkō -ji Temple in Nagano, before continuing your journey back to Tokyo.
Arrive at Tokyo Airport for your flight back home.

On your trip to Japan, you can expect to see your students improve their skiing or snowboarding ability, as well as learn more about Japan's unique culture. Students will have the opportunity to experience Japanese traditions and will be introduced to basic greetings and based on their own learning goals, can put their knowledge of the Japanese language into a practical environment. Your school will experience Japan's ancient traditions and learn how they influence modern living in Japan today. Sample traditional cuisine, improve Japanese language skills and watch as students step out of their comfort zone, building cultural sensitivity and global citizenship.
The Hakuba Valley was home of the 1998 Winter Olympics, it is famous around the world for great skiing, and has reliable, consistent snowfall. Hakuba is a true alpine village with terrain to suit all students. Located in the spectacular Japanese Alps, there is a lot to see and do such as a visit to the local hot springs or the Matsumoto Castle, one of only four castles in Japan considered to be a national treasure. For more than 70 years Hakuba has been providing skiers, snowboarders and outdoor enthusiasts with the ideal conditions for an enjoyable winter experience. The best conditions can generally be found from December to late February, with March perfect for spring skiing and some of the resorts staying open until the first week of May.

Tokyo’s sprawling, modern skyscrapers stand in contrast to Japans oldest temples and sprawling public gardens, providing an interesting and unique visit for students on a school ski trip to Japan.
