|EA SCHOOL TOURS NEWSLETTER Nov 2012|
We are proud to look back on another fantastic year of school tours here at EA. We worked with teachers from the UK, Australia and New Zealand to give their students amazing experiences in a range of destinations.
Many groups have enjoyed the educational elements of our NASA Space Centre Tours in Orlando and the drama/ media workshops in New York. While playing football against new friends in Argentina was the highlight of the school year for some.
Ski trips to Queenstown continue to be very popular but all trips have had one thing in common; Teachers are not only telling us of the excitement and fun that groups have, but of the growth they see in students – just check out the quote from Matt on Christ College’s trip to South America below for evidence on this.

A quick summary from Matt, the lead teacher … “Our friendly billets, our welcoming hosts, the loco bus drivers, our fabulous EA tour guides Victoria and Carolina , the power and purity of Iguacu Falls, the crazy football fans at San Lorenzo and the passion for football across the countries we visited – the list is endless. The learning experiences both on and off the field has been a huge success”.

Many teachers tell us that the paperwork involved with School Trips puts them off embarking on a trip. We think this is a real shame as in most cases there are set guidelines to follow which can make the process easy. Also, the act of examining potential risks in any activity brings teachers more in tune and gives them more confidence in leading a trip.
The following article can be used as a starting point / guide for teachers beginning this process as it summaries some key points for Risk Management on School Trips: Risk Management on School Trips
